The FSH Lodge "Heevan Retreat" is our preferred hotel in Gulmarg and nearly all of our more than 1'000 guests have stayed there since we started our programs in Gulmarg in 2006. The FSH Lodge "Heevan Retreat” is situated in an idyllic site in the forest above Gulmarg, close to the ski slopes (ski in/ski out).
With its 30 comfortable double rooms, it is one of the largest hotels in the ski resort and due to its service offering (room size, heating system, hot water availability and staff competence) also one of the best. Overall the lodge meets the criteria of a good 3-star hotel in the Alps.
In this hotel we are personally looking after our guests. The presence of representatives of international operators is an essential factor in making their guests' stay in Gulmarg's hotels a positive experience. During high season the limited availability of fully completed hotel rooms that meet the described and promised hospitality standards has often resulted in huge disappointments of independent travelers and turned their skiing holiday into an unexpected survival week.
The hotel disposes of 30 spacious and well-furnished rooms with large beds, comfy chairs with a small table, a writing desk, color TV and western style bathrooms. All rooms are centrally heated (not common in this part of the world) and dispose of also of powerful electric blankets for the beds. Hot water is available in all bathrooms.
The comfortable sitting area in the lounge of FSH Lodge is the ideal place to relax after a long day skiing in the Himalayas or to spend time with friends and other hotel guests.
Guests are pampered by our team with coffee or tea and pastries. They can watch their videos on the large TV screen or exchange their experiences on the mountain with the other guests.
Internet connection is also available there so guests can communicate at any time with family and friends at home and they can keep them up to date on what is happening in the Himalayas.
Due to the limited availability of reasonable restaurants, guests will usually take their meals in their respective hotels. The hotel's restaurant serves a full breakfast in the morning and evenings the guests can indulge in 3 to 4-course meals of the Kashmiri, Chinese or Continental cuisine.
